DILO’s Regional Sales Manager, Robert Cardenas, was born and raised in Venezuela before moving to the United States when he was 17 years old. In college, he studied Business Administration and served as a DILO representative for nearly seven years after earning his degree.
Robert’s journey to DILO began in 2015 when he was hired as a Regional Sales Manager, covering part of the Southeastern United States as well as Latin America. Since then, he has evolved in his role by providing sales support for DILO products as well as conducting onsite, virtual, and in-house training for all DILO products. Robert focuses on the latest updates and knowledge base for general SF6 use assisting and SF6 users in establishing comprehensive SF6 maintenance and management plans.
As a Regional Sales Manager, he works closely with customers and ensures he is attending to their needs. For example, Robert is currently working with a client to design a custom designed SF6 room monitoring system set-up for their indoor GIS station. This new system, designed for their exact specifications, will help them enhance safety protocols for their personnel and company as SF6 can pose an asphyxiation hazard in indoor environments.
Robert also recently helped another customer expand their on-site reach and capabilities for their crew while achieving zero SF6 emissions by setting them up with a recovery system set-up based on their specific needs. The extensive knowledge that our Sales Team has really sets DILO apart as we are able to help customers create gas handling plans and innovate solutions to handle challenges they are facing in the field.

Outside of work, Robert pegs himself an outgoing individual and enjoys going to the beach, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and daughters. You can also find him spending quality time with friends and watching movies in his free time.
