DILO 4th Annual SF6 Gas Management Seminar

Four years ago, DILO decided to create a conference specific to SF6 gas handling. We have learned a lot over the last few years and applied your feedback. For the first time ever, we are offering hands-on training opportunities in the form of break-out sessions at DILO’s 4th Annual SF6 Gas Management Seminar. The best part of all? The conference remains free of charge for utilities, OEMs, and government agencies!

Save Your Spot Today!

The SF6 Gas Management Seminar grew out of DILO’s hope to increase awareness of safe SF6 handling. With the help of our sponsors, we invest in creating a premier educational experience for attendees. The SGMS creates a platform where industry leaders and experts share best management practices and regulatory updates pertaining to SF6.

Well informed technicians are the first line of defense again SF6 leaks, and DILO stands behind our zero emissions philosophy. This is why we offer free admission for utilities, OEM’s, and government agencies. Over the years, news of value of the SF6 Gas Management Seminar has spread throughout the industry.

We are very fortunate to have a record number of attendees this year! In the interest of keeping the integrity of attendee experience, we will be capping registration numbers in 2019. Please register today to save your spot!

DILO SF6 Gas Management Seminar

Break Out Sessions

The format of day one of the seminar will remain the same as previous years. Utility service personnel, engineers, and supervisors alike will take home valuable information applicable to their everyday work experiences. Our keynote speaker, Mr. Dan Smith, will present Austin Energy: Modernizing the Grid in the Age of Google, Apple, and Amazon. The Environmental Protection Agency will inform attendees about updates with the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program and U.S. Trends in SF6 Consumption, Supply, and Emissions. Alternatives to SF6 are on this year’s agenda as well. These are just a few highlights. Be sure to check out the complete agenda for more details.

On day two of the seminar, attendees will rotate through hands-on training break-out sessions. The sessions will include important SF6 gas handling topics such as decomposition, leak detection, and true mass monitoring. Do you know how and why to properly test for SF6 by-products? Does your team know how to verify the alarm and lockout switching points of a density monitor, without creating any SF6 emissions? Have you used a mass flow meter while filling a breaker to accurately measure the amount of SF6 used? All these topics and many more will be covered.  Attendees will rotate through all break-out sessions in small groups to ensure hands-on opportunities.
