DILO’s Self-Sealing Coupling Principle

DILO Company pioneered an innovative self-sealing coupling system that has become the industry benchmark for safe and efficient SF₆ gas handling. Designed to minimize gas loss during connection and disconnection, this proven system helps operators maintain cleaner workflows while protecting gas quality. The connection is made by simply screwing the two coupling halves together. As the coupling is tightened, an internal sealing mechanism creates a pressure-tight and vacuum-tight connection before gas flow is opened. This staged sealing process helps prevent unintended gas release during hookup.

When the coupling is loosened and disconnected, the internal self-closing valves automatically shut before the connection is fully separated. This helps retain gas inside the hose and equipment while reducing the chance of atmospheric release. Unlike conventional fittings that may rely heavily on exposed seals or manual shutoff steps, the DILO system is engineered to make secure operation faster, more repeatable, and less dependent on user technique.
