Calculate the density of SF₆ gas from the prevailing pressure and temperature. The ideal-gas density is shown alongside it for comparison — the gap between the two is the real-gas behaviour that matters when you are filling by weight.
Gas phase only — SF₆ condenses readily, and the result is withheld at or above the pressure where it liquefies. Typical switchgear fill is 38–44 g/L at 20 °C (5.9–6.7 bar absolute). The density comes from a virial fit of DILO's own calculation service, checked against the Beattie-Bridgeman equation of state for SF₆ (Allied Chemical TB-85603, p. 4); the two agree within 1% from −40 to +60 °C and 0 to 10 bar.
